My favorite snack is a blended shake that is very easy to make. It’s tasty and is a good source of calcium, potassium, fiber and protein, is high in healthy fats and is low in cholesterol and sodium.
Yields 2 servings
6 ounces skim milk
1 medium banana
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 scoop chocolate whey protein
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Vary it! Try freezing the banana or adding some ice to mimic an ice cream-based milk shake.
