Scripture Provides Encouragement

Text Size

Everyone needs encouragement occasionally, especially when facing cancer. The Pastoral Care team at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® in Tulsa, Oklahoma suggests scripture as a source of encouragement. For patients of the Christian faith, the Bible has many scripture verses to inspire us during our daily lives. The list below is just a few. If you have other scripture verses that provide you with encouragement, hope and inspiration, share them in the comments section below.

Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?…No, in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Philippians 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
